Reading all these posts makes me not want to get ANY BOB releases. .

Can anyone post any pics of the Mayhem- DDS vinyl.
Didn't know Deathcrush got a gatefold release by them, too. .

Not an expert when it comes to vinyls and the different pressing methods, but fact is that many current pressings sound "compressed" when the reading head reaches the last track of the sides (near the paper label).

I haven't this problem on any 70's pressings. Some 80's but it is really scarce.
At least half of the current pressings have this curious compressed and windy sound when it comes closer to the center ...

I don't own anything this label put out. Based on what I've heard about the quality of their releases, I think they should be boycotted. I bought their reissue of "Filosofem" for somebody as a gift and I remember it looking pretty crappy.

On a side note, even that "deluxe" edition that Ancient Darkness put out looks like a piece of crap too.

This record deserves more than a shitty reissue by some cash-grab novelty label and some limited one by a little label that didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Just a nice proper reissue without any bells or whistles.

I also have Mayhem's shitty "Grand Declaration Of War" LP by BOB and in my copy the sound is terrible! I don't even know why I bought It. I also heard that all those Burzum LP's are fucking horrible! I only own the debyt/Aske DLP and what bothers me the most, is that there is two LP's in same covers!!! Why it isn't gatefold???

"Servants Of Darkness" rerelease is fine thou. Maybe their best release and totally worth of buying.

I used to have the Emperor debut on blue vinyl and the Burzum st/aske DLP. They were both okay except the holes that were very tight

Maybe Karan is right, if not everybody has problems with the LP... Mine and the others with fukked up vinyls may have some bad pressings.... well anyway this is not a good basis for a label to sell such shit!!!

At Mountainer:
Yeah, that's how tight the LP is "cut". When an LP is long it sounds not sooo good at the end, simply because they had to cut a lot on one side.... but the problems on the BOB appear on the first two songs....
FUUUUKKK they ruined Freezing moon!!!!

Soundwise the new Absu is well done AT LEAST!

The new Burzum versions are actually quite good...heavy vinyl and improved layouts, gatefolds, etc...I haven't heard the originals but these are ok in my book. Don't know why they haven't done a new version for Burzum/Aske though, I have only found Det Som Engang Var-Filosofem.
