Yeah man, taking Friday off to hit up both days. Friday's not as ridiculously stacked as Saturday, but there's still Crurifragium, Mortem, Diocletian, and Merciless.

Sucks that Dead Congregation had to drop out, but Drawn and Quartered should be badass as well. Can't wait to get destroyed by Sadistic Intent, Nunslaughter, Ascended Dead, Pissgrave, and fucking Demo Hammer

How far are you traveling?

I don't like to get behind boycotts and causes, but I don't want to attend this fest after the last few capitulations to insane Bay Area ideologues.

I ain't trying to show anyone, and no one will notice. I don't need to give my money to activist promoters just because they bring me the metal and good-times that I love.

Shouldn't have even brought it up.

If you're referencing the Incantation/Marduk show, that got shut down by OPD, IIRC. I'm just saying you're missing out man, if there's one show to catch this whole year in California it's CDF for sure

I'm talking about Disma getting kicked off of one of the recent CDFs. I don't even like Disma really.

If you can boot bands off the show because of dubious history and still have a successful fest every year, that sets a really bad precedent.

Some bands I'd really like to see but I can not afford to go. Instead I will be working. Life sucks.

The idea is great, as that album is amazing. But what you get is a techno version of Ceremony. I get that the band has "changed direction" since their early stuff, but if you are playing shows based on an album then play the fucking album like we all remember it. Not some gay ass dance party version.

Seen them play Ceremony in its entirety twice now and its hard to digest.

Wait, for real? I was feeling certain they would stick with an actual black metal set. I was already considering leaving before Samael comes on, especially if the schedule ends up like last year (headliners starting at 1-2 AM)
