A demo compilation is announced a long time ago on bandcamp.
https://mysticismproductions.bandcamp.com/album/genom-svartkonstens-herrav-lde-ett-monument-av-hat

Is there going to be one more compilation or that's it? It says here it'll be around 50 mins and few bands are mentioned. This compilation above is much longer and there are no any bands mentioned, just song titles.

I once again am here just to whine that I gauged out +60usd for both BN records, why was there no anouncement prior, that a load of distros will get these? Surprised

You could have asked the label themselves, or anyone on this forum to which the distros probably would have told you they were getting copies Very Happy

Remember PTF had those Gniphalan tapes like last month or so ago? I figured PTF was gonna do the same thing this time around so instead of beating around the bush (incase they sold out) I insta bought them. By the time Id ask if they would hit other distros, I would of already assumed they'd be sold out. Best thing to do next time, is just pull the trigger and hope for the best.

I'm glad I got them from a friend, they're great listening.

Ive got some Beketh Nexehmu and Summum lps that Ive not bothered with, as a serious Moonblood fan is this shit even worth worrying about. It does seem very derivative and to my ears, not that enjoyable.

Beketh Nexehmu is much better than Moonblood.
Moonblood have their Moments, of Course, but there is also a lot of crap.

The only Beketh Nexehmu release that is worth anything is De Svarta Ritarna (but that is really good) - the rest is pretty much 80s pop - and just the same and the same. Moonblood was pure crap as well ( their The Winther Falls... was ok) - just as LLN and the likes from the 90s. Surely they can not be that famous for the music!? Also this jamming thing has gone a bit too far. If you jam and something good comes from it - fine. But releaseing lp after lp with jam session after jam session seems rather pointless to me. Glad I never jumped those Ancient Bands...Or Moonblood ...

Moonblood's Worshippers Of The Grim Sepulchral Moon Demo is pure gold imo.

for me Gnipahlan and Mystik are the best acts from this group of weirdos

Ancient Records was able to find their niche market and build from that. Look at all the people who buy any record this label puts out and the hysteria that goes behind it. A well marketed machine if you ask me.

Except AR doesn't really do "marketing" and promo for stuff. The labels that choose to release titles seem to handle that for them. I have a hard time imagining the parties involved sitting around wondering how to make albums that will make people happy. Rather they make what they want. It was/is hard to find releases and info at times to the casual fan so I am sure that "want what you can't have" mentality is part of the allure. It also helps that the music is good and done well. Subjectively speaking.
