you people act as if the presence of a repress somehow diminishes the demand for the first press. It doesn't. If I put my first press of DBD on ebay tomorrow it will still bring in a boat load of money. Die-hard fans with disposable income will always drop tons of cash on a rare record. That said, it's good to see this back in print for the people that can't afford to do so.

future will tell but i don't think so.
yes, it will stay expensive but not in a price range of 1550cad Wink

edit:

but yes ... i don't care tbh
i'm just happy to see the repress after selling my copy for 150usd back in the days Very Happy
you never know. Depends how many make it to the marketplace after this is released. Just look at Yellow Goat Bathory, Mutiilation "Vampires..", "Transilvanian Hunger", etc. All repressed many times. Still sell for a fortune all these years later. Does Goatmoon have that kind of staying power? Who knows. The version with the bonus cdr will always rake in tons of dough.

you're listing essential records from the early-mid 90s imho (besides bathory which is even from '84)
goatmoon is from 2006 ....

anyway, i don't care and this discussion leads to nowhere.

glad to see the repress. still can remember my first press.
Just printed papers and the CDr won't work anymore in a few years but hey, you have lyrics and shitloads of swastikas all over your sheet Very Happy
agreed this a fruitless discussion. Not suggesting Goatmoon is better or worse than the listed bands. Taste is a very subjective. My point is represses don't eliminate the demand/sale of first presses. This is particularly true in the world of 80s private press metal where every first press continually sells for $500+, despite a flood of recent reissues. Collectors are collectors.

I have digipack Cd with vinyl bonus track, so I'm going to skip vinyl this time.

I think re-presses affects original 1st press cd prices. They usually look and sound same.

Older cd stops working earlier than new cd, maybe it's reason why there is not high demand as for vinyl for original press cd:s.

Not true. What is the oldest CD you really have? I have CD's all the way from early 80's and they still work like new. It's all about how you preserve and store them.

Is that symbol of bad thought removed from all versions, or from just some?

Also, thought that "glow in the dark" version is a joke but I was wrong Laughing
