Dear NWN members and especially Hellhammer / Celtic Frost fans, here is a very special release a friend of mine is involved in:

"In 2017, Martin Eric Ain, bassist of the pioneer bands Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, joined Swiss avant-garde / classical composer Balz Trümpy and his son Samuel Trümpy to contribute to a record. After the first recording session Martin Eric Ain sadly passed away on October 21, 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland. „Der Dorn“ is the last known recording from Martin Eric Ain. Balz Trümpy‘s „Der Dorn“ is now available as a limited edition 7 inch (222 pieces). One 7" costs 10CHF (shipping not included / 5CHF goes to the nonprofit organization „Borneo Orangutan Survival Schweiz“, an organization Martin was very close to).

If you are interested in buying this limited piece of wax you can email samutruempy@hotmail.ch for more informations.

From switzerland - Samuel Trümpy."

Really strange stuff. Cool that he was able to collaborate with his son before leaving this planet.

I don't think it was Martin's son. It was the trumpy father and son duo.
In my reading at least.

Cool track, has a later Einstürzende Neubauten vibe.

Is there anything on the b-side?

You're right. I misread it.

I don't think I would ever listen to this type of music, but it's cool that he was still making music until his death. It says a lot about his character.

I'm into this and purchased it as well. It does resemble Neubauten actually in a good way. The frantic vocals and pitch of his voice later on are slightly like Blixa Bargeld.

PS: The kid has some good musical taste. Black Sabbath necklace over Bauhaus shirt.

Sounds like old Einsturzende Neuauten, which is great, of course.
