Repugnant's Celtic Frost cover fit that e.p. quite perfectly.

If I'm not mistaken Epitome of Darkness has a Morbid cover too.
How I wish Tobías ended with Ghost and brought Repugnant back.

I always dug Hitler Painted Roses on Blood Feast's "Chopping Block Blues", though not really a classic album.

Speaking of Might Sphincter, there is Helter Skelter cover on New Manson Family LP, which smokes the original (as is the case with all The Beatles songs covered by someone else).

Also Flotsam and Jetsam - No Place for Disgrace, the Elton John cover.

Pentacle - ...Rides the Moonstorm

Spell of the Pentagram

While it states explicitly that it's a cover, it's so embedded in the album that I couldn't imagine it without the track.

Mayhem does Witching hour on Deathcrush. Really fitting for that album.

Crowbar's version of Dreamweaver by Gary Wright on Equilibrium is a great closer for the album.

Some of these covers were my first exposure to classic songs and I didn't realise it at the time. Obituary doing CF, Slayer doing JP.
Some other mentions in this thread I didn't know they were cover versions, I'll look up the originals.

Voivod - Astronomy Domine is the first that comes to mind, greatest cover ever, on a classic album.

No Quarter was also done very nicely by Crowbar.

Indeed a great version. They also did an excellent version of Iron Maiden's Remember tomorrow.
