Hey

Have 2 times this CD, one is listed in my tradelist but when I compared those 2, found next differences:

CD1:
Has a post card with Last Episode Contact and matrix code says: LEP 111P+0-45482-A2 10-99

CD2:
No post card, little bit lighter in cover and back inlay, matrix code: GZ FC2109 EBLIS 001

Wandering wich one it’s the original version or if both are original wich are 1st & 2nd press.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx

don't have it as an original but it must be the one without last episode contact. its astral wings rec. only I think, without any barcode on the back. at least my 1:1 cd and booklett-copy are so.

So was mine (of course not the 1st press, but the latest...) and vinyl I have was released by Sombre. I got a bootleg of that CD in a trade. It was supposed to be original version, but the covers was with lighter shade and the matrix was wrong. If I recall right, there are also some copies with original covers, but with a CDr, as there was extra covers, so some CDr's were then sold with the original covers.

Yeah that is a recent re-release, 2008 or something.

Edit before anyones asks: there are also copies floating around with an original Astral Wings booklet and traycard, but with a cdr instead of cd. As often, the label pressed more booklets then cds, so they spread a few cdrs with black/white stickers on it. I think that was quite recent?! Used to have this cdr one, but traded it when I got the cd version.

www.google.com will help YOU Exclamation

Taur-nu-Fuin
The Elves’ name for Mirkwood

At the beginning of the second millennium of the Third Age, a mysterious being came to Amon Lanc in the south of Greenwood the Great, and there built the stronghold known as Dol Guldur. This was the magician known as the Necromancer, who was later revealed to be none other than Sauron himself, and from his fortress tower a shadow of nightshade began to spread across the woodlands. From that time on, the Elves came to refer to the Greenwood as Taur-nu-Fuin, the forest under nightshade, rendered into the Mannish tongue as 'Mirkwood'.

The story of Sauron's darkening of Greenwood the Great mirrors events in the First Age, when he occupied the highland forests of Dorthonion, north of Beleriand. That region, too, fell under his shadow, and was also known as Taur-nu-Fuin.

Notes
1
The name Taur-nu-Fuin originated in the First Age, when it was used for the pine forests of Dorthonion after they fell under the power of Morgoth. The translation 'Forest under Nightshade' comes from that earlier dark place, whose name the Elves seem to have reused for Mirkwood after Dol Guldur was built there.
