|
|
Here's the first new release of the week...
BLACK GOAT - S/T LP (LR-003/Anti-Goth 23)
Black Goat's self-titled album was originally released in 1998 as a CDR and later repressed on CD by Nuclear War Now!. Now the LP-version of this excellent San Fransisco-band is available through Lyderhorn Records and NWN productions. Black Goat plays traditional thrashy black metal and featured members that went on to such bands as Weakling and Lord Weird Slogh Feg. This high quality LP-pressing features brand new artwork by Ben West that can be viewed above. The first 40 mailorder customers will receive the clear vinyl version. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

I will receive my copies on Friday. If you want clear vinyl after it sells out from Yosuke I may still have some left.

I can't find the band's email anymore. Can someone contact them through Myspace and let them know that the LP is out?
The LP is actually not here yet because of some delivery delays. I will pick them up tonight. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

Very cool release. They had something that set them apart from other black/thrash bands. When it makes its way to my turntable every few months, it sounds fresh. Strong musicianship, too. |

Got it for the same reason as well. I guess it was barely worth the small change I had in my wallet...
For that Weakling connection, I'd rather focus my attention on Asunder, The Gault and Dispirit. _________________ §:-Ğl |

True, but I got it for cheap as postage filler... |
I got the lp from Discogs a few years ago for $5. It seems that many people either ignore or don't like this release, but I dig its odd sound. |

I got the original CDr version right around when it came out, pretty decent stuff. Not something I listen to often (and I haven't in a long time), but it was solid enough.
Something I've always wondered... the black sticker on the CDr itself- are the crater-type things supposed to be there? It adds a cool effect. Not sure if it's just my copy, or if they're all like that. |
