Not to be confused form the band from Greece, this ERESHKIGAL was formed in Mexico in 1994, playing a primitive form of Black Metal, that could be described as a mixture of Norway and Greek bands.
Fast forward 13 years after 3 full-lenght albums, 1 compilation of early material, and live shows all over Mexico and even few shows in Europe. They still keep the essence of their style, although they add a bit of old school thrash and also some NWOBHM touches here and there to spice up their sound, besides the very obvious improvement in musical habilities and recording. It is their last CD "Shadow´s Land" that will receive the vynil tratment. It will include an extra song, and although not yet confirmed it could be a gatefold cover, or at least some high quality material and package.
It will be released on my label REBORN (in fire) RECORDS with a tentative release date in April 2008.
Fans of early BATHORY, DESASTER, DARK THRONE and early SODOM with very twisted vocals will find this to their likes.
