| I'm far from an expert but I really like Fire Danger Season. It's more of a rarities collection than an actual album but gives a nice overview of the band I think. Some others I might recomend are The Moment of Truth or The Track of the Hunted. |

| The earlier stuff is more martial, where the more recent stuff is more Neofolk with a very sinister vibe...my current preferred release is "Time is Thee Enemy!"... |

| Big Big fan of this project. Probably my favourite is the "Gelb gab ich fur eissen" live MCD/VHS along with "Track of the Hunted"....although the DI6 collaborations are great also. I have to say I've been a bit dissapointed with them lately though - didnt think all that much of the new album. Arditi and Toridh pretty much satisfy the hunger that DB once did for me these days. |

"Gelb gab ich fur eissen"
Gold gab ich für Eisen
First ones are best ones.
Blutharsch Digi (Or similar the first Picture, but this one is crazy
expensive)
Der Sieg des Lichtes ist des Lebens Heil
are the best for me, after them Albin goes to make real Musik
in Martial Style [The Track of the Hunted, Pleasure Received and so)
At Point of the Album "Where all else fails" it begins with more Musical
Rock influences and then "Time is thee Enemy" and so on are for me
to Metal/Rock influenced.
Interesting Fakt, the Lp from "Track of the Hunted" is different to
the CD same title. |

Quite new to them but what I've heard is fucking excellent! I'm a fan of neo-folk and martial industrial, I'm just a little surprised to see someone else here who likes it. Cool to know though.
The only stuff I own featuring Albin Julius though is the collaborative album with Boyd Rice and Douglas Pearce which I can't listen to at the moment 'cause I don't have an LP player that works. |

You mean Wolfpact, good Album.
There is no Martial Industrial, Industrial is a totaly other
Musical Genre. No mixes with Martial Musick are there.
There are plents of Names for the Genre, please don't put
more in the World
I listen to this stuff since 1995...
This ones can interest you as well:
Triarii
Herr
Exemtum
Puissance
Arditi
Toroidh (Nordvargr Project harhar)
some Allerseelen stuff
Deutsch Nepal
some nice Musick ^^ |

heh,my german isnt so good so I wasnt so sure of the title of the live one. They were pretty good live around that time too - Saw them support Death in June twice, 98 & 2000 I think, when he was out here working on Take care & Control and Operation hummingbird. The 2nd gig was the night the "Heilige" DI6 album was recorded.
I've got both versions of "Track of the hunted"...cant really make up my mind if I like one more than the other.
Do the tracklistings for the various editions of the 1st/ST album differ? I have the WSD jewelcase cd version. |

I'm not the first to use the term martial industrial! I've heard it before but OK I'll just say martial! |

Hiho
No Problem with German, but some guys copy paste such and
so i write the right one there
For the Track of the Hunted:
http://www.discogs.com/release/48508
There's the description for it
Tracklisting correlates to and differs from the CD version as follows:
A1, B1, and B5 are exclusive to this vinyl version [just as CD Tracks 1, 9, 10 part 2, and 10 part 3 are exclusive to the CD version]
A2 = CD Track 3
A3 = CD Track 4
A4 = CD Track 5
A5 = CD Track 6
A6 = CD Track 2
B2 = CD Track 7
B3 = CD Track 8
B4 = CD Track 10, Part 1
The First Album never was as JewelCase CD from World Serpent,
i think you mean the "Der Sieg des Lichtes"
WSD Jewelcase Version FrontCover:
5x7" / TESCO CD Digi Cover:
The First One:
Original Picture LP, lim. 250
TESCO Digi Press
So far i know, there's no changes made. |

Ah, quite right. I'd thought that tesco digipack was a re-press of "Der Sieg...", and hence never picked it up. will have to rectify that.
Other similar stuff I'm enjoying at the moment:
Puissance - Kreig demo (chance score, but very pleased to have it. l like all their albums, but less so after "Mother of disease")
Westwind - "Tourmente I"
A Chalenge of Honour - "Monuments + Seven Samurai"
Toridh - "European Trilogy" box set + Start over 2x 7"
H.E.R.R - "the winter of Constantinople" (yet to hear "Vondel's Lucifer")
Wappenbund - back catalogue
Allersellen - first 5 albums |
