the disneylike 'na na nana na na' guitar lick in the beginning of "Pace Till Death" from Blood Fire Death LP - this track ruins the album for me Smile

Isn't that a bit harsh? "A fine day to die" on it's own justifies the purchase of this masterpiece.

Ok I won't say it ruins the album myself but still seems a little out of place.

However I don't think I can imagine it any other way all the same...

Oh and I'd also say 'The Golden Walls of Heaven' is a fantastic song along with the title track. Well an all round awesome album really, but those are the ones that stand out for me.

The ending for ROOT's "Before I Leave" ....

it's not that bad it's just repeated way too often!

but Root have added pretty much disturbing sequences to their music all the time... I'm just remembering that extra bla bla on "The Revelation". I've completely edited this album on the PC, to have a listenable copy for on the road and 666 and pisen pro satana and hrbitov as seperate songs in English.

Also the beginning of their new album and that stupid "because we are demons" at the end...

Worst part of Blood Fire Death is the silence after the outro. I fucking hate that. But all was well when I discovered the 'repeat' button on my CD player. Now Blood Fire Death has no annoying moments whatsoever.

There are a few moments on Root's "Temple in the Underworld" that remind me of Alice in Chains. Drives me fucking crazy.

Also, on Taake's "Bjoergvin," I believe it is the second track, when the jaw harp (I just call it a fucking Disney noisemaker that goes "boing") kicks in, I have to take the record off. Seriously, just can't imagine how the hell that sound doesn't make everyone crack the fuck up.

I did, the first day it was available here, which happened to be October 31, 1988. It was also the first Bathory album that had a simultaneous CD release, so I bought that at the same time as well.

Vinyl tends to double the frustration of Blood Fire Death, though. There's that annoying silence every 23.5 minutes or so.

CD = no annoying moments.

Only CD is real.

Yes, I'm VERY sure. Take a listen to Tales again and you'll hear the techno dance part during "Magic and Mayhem."

They do it on the Elegy record too.

heh, they do break out the glowsticks at around 2:30-3:30 on that song, and then again at the end... it's ridiculous compared to the rest of the song!

Fucking fantastic song, perfectly timed boing!

A few years back a friend and I would listen to that album (probably drunk) and laugh our asses off when the boing kicked in. I got a call from him when that picture of Hoest reached the internet (the one with his member hanging out and what not). Something along the lines of "dude, you see that fucken picture of Hoest?? Probably planned that to happen in sync with the boing!".

We got a kick out of that, pretty childish I know. Laughing

Really? I rather like the Jew's harp on the title track of Blod-draum.
