corny album title aside, i am listening to this album right now and its blowing me away.. cant really find any points of comparison, the guitar work and songwriting are astounding, pleasantly progressive and devilishly dissonant but still pretty 'hooky'.. features the guitarist of akercocke and similarities with their sound can be heard but way more on the BM side of things.. the vocalist sounds like a tortured gutterpunk puking out his last words..

any other fans?

I remember hearing an old demo track a few years back and can't say I enjoyed it too much. Was listenable but can't say I was too taken with it.

Technically they were pretty good, I just didn't really bother with the music.

i think the semi-recent addition of the akercocke guitarist probably drastically improved their sound.. WSM is the most recent album.. i suggest checking it out.. havent checked out the older stuff yet.

Their early stuff was much more Norse bm in the vein of Burzum, but thankfully they have managed to change things up a little. The latest album is definately their best material yet.

eek, not a burzum fan at all. ill stick with WSM Smile

theres certainly nothing nordic sounding in this album at all. a lot of parts are pretty punky and theres some killer deathmetalish leads..

they really developed well with this new album. Glad they reached a new level with this album and got more promotion with their new label.
I don't really agree with the Burzum comparison though... first album and demo were more norsk influenced but influence of Emperor I'd say.

Probert you can get Pathogen as well, you won't be disappointed.
