Its allways nice to get nice stuff as cheap as for 5 USD, its also cool to get few more titles with an order - even if they're absolutley unkown for you, but maybe only enjoy the name of the band or heard about once time.

Sometimes a release feels to me like it should be heard on cd rather than vinyl and vice versa. Shit, sometimes I just HAVE to have the cassette version.

I love blogspots and use them all the time. I've definitly bought more albums because I've been able to listen to them first. The've had such a profound effect on me that when I run my own record label, I'm going to offer ALL my releases for free download. Seriously. Watch for it. HAHA IMO if labels want people to start buying their releases then they need to stop with shit like charging over $5 for a cd with a 1 page booklet and no lyrics.

The less the CDs cost, the more I end up buying.

I'm a bit spoiled though. I grew up buying from punk distros ($8 CDs, $3 7"s, etc), so $15 and over for any bare bones non-import CD feels like some Sam Goody ripoff.

I strongly agree with the notion that this shit isn't free and still don't understand the mentality of those who go about stealing it without any guilt or intention of purchasing a physical copy later (although it seems most on this forum don't fall into that category).

The "I'm broke, no money, can't afford it" excuse gets no sympathy from me. Ok so you don't have the disposable cash to buy it, and really thats none of my business, but it doesn't forgive stealing it. It should mean that you just don't get to hear it but of course with the sense of entitlement so common today people aren't willing to accept that. Rolling Eyes

the answer is really simple:

its just music. Entertainment, nothing more ...

you might feel that way but that attitude slights those who spend a great deal of time and effort creating it. Simply because it is entertainment yes and isn't essential to existence like shelter or sustenance is no reason to take for granted the work that went into creating the final product.
