I have 3 packages happily in NY for like 10 days there....is a storm in there going on like in SF or snow too hard or what? Strike? Aliens took the mail office (oh, that was in MIB II)? On the other side, I have a package dilvered form USA to Mexico in just 5 days...5 days...is the world coming to an end? Is this one of those signals the Mayans predicted? Damn...

In my experience, parcels coming from Mexico sit in customs in NYC forever. They must assume you are sending drugs.

Yeah, that might explain it a bit. In a way metal music can be an addiction, so...

I haven't seen any new customs forms either - for those less and more than four pounds. I shipped off some CDs to Italy and the UK a few weeks ago and no one working there mentioned anything to me at the post office about a change of form.

Bump...

Anyone having problems with FedEx Ground in the Northeast US? According to their tracking page, my package has been "in transit" from a center about 30 mins away since last Monday but it still hasn't made it here. I cut them a few days slack because of the multiple snowstorms, but the local roads have been drivable for a while, and there's no mention of weather delays on my tracking page since Wednesday. The only updates I've received are "3:00 AM: On vehicle for delivery" for a few days now.

USPS has been crawling at a snail's pace too, even before the snow. A couple of small domestic packs took 2-3 weeks.

First-Class took something like 8 days the other day. That was like a 4 day dag. Confused

fuuuuuuuuuck. today i had a mail MIRACLE. i ordered an evocation lp from a guy in sweden december 26th or something, i've been waiting for it ever since and pretty much considered it lost. it returned from the abyssous depths of the world postal system today and i thought for sure it would have been broken, it was in a really crappy recycled paper envelope without any padding or anything. the vinyl was alright, so i guess thats what really counts. the custom form was dated the 29th of december, so i know now that the postal system is to blame for the 7 week wait >= |

It might be lost, I had a package in transit for a while, called them and I was told it was lost. Few months later it arrived on my door step.

I sent a parcel of 4 t-shirts (sale) to someone in Thailand on September 29th. The package was returned to me last week (February). Of course the guy opened and won a Paypal dispute with me long ago. In the end, it turns out (and he has admitted) that I had the correct address on it.
