I think he is refering to the way lots of old black metal bands used to speak of the past in a very romantic way. They all had a yearning for the ancient ways and customs/myths/society/family/gender roles, etc .....
Now, like the rest of these bands, he has woken up and realized that it is rather pointless to yearn for the past and live your life as if it was still the 9th century or something. He has grown up and concentrates on real issues instead of fantasy. |
