The Bruce Bruce years are fantastic!! I think his vocals are better on these records over Maiden... He has more range and variety then in his Maiden years which he is just always SO OVER THE TOP. His voice rules on Head On!!!! Any fans??? Any fans of AFTER the Bruce Bruce years??? _________________ bands:

yeah, good stuff ! Head On is filled with classics, but Shock Tactics has quite a bit of filler, but some great standouts.
I take it you've seen their "Biceps of Steel" promo video/short film ??? if not, you are in for a treat _________________

I dig on some SAMSON, and I have the THUNDERSTICK solo LP too- the cover on that is one of the best in the history of metal! |

Killer cover, but I've never heard the album. Is it any good? _________________

It's decent from what I remember, nothing to put on your top ten or whatever! I just pulled out the SAMSON "Dont Get Mad....Get Even" LP from 1984 and am spinning it, pretty good stuff! Basically a rock LP though, hardly qualifies as METAL. |

pulled out the THUNDERSTICK album next, am listening to it now, this fucking record SUCKS!!!! Scratch my earlier post, re-read "the cover of the THUNDERSTICK album is the ONLY reason you should bother owning it!"
They have a female vocalist which is usually a selling point for me. Most female fronted bands I'm into no matter what, but this fuckin thing is weak and just a total piece of SHIT!!!
I will have to remember to pull it on my next trip through the collection to dump stuff on ebay. It sounds like some 80s synth pop like FLOCK OF SEAGULLS or something trying to be a little harder but seriously failing. |

The only album I've heard is "Survivors," the second version with Bruce on vocals. Nothing really special in my opinion. I remember being amused by the "I Wish I Was the Saddle of a Schoolgirl's Bike" song. _________________ THINGS THAT WILL BE DELETED:

I've only got the Mr Rock n Roll/Primrose Shuffle 7" - that's pre Bruce right? Remember it as ok, but it's been awhile since i've listened to it... |

If you like Bruce Dickinson and Samson you should check out some of his earliest material when he sung for the band Speed. The 7" is pretty cool stuff. |
