We're still on the layout, and hopefully the LP will be released in August. |

Thanks.
A couple compilation tracks and an EP are planned for mid/late 2010, and I should be posting some drummer-related news during next week.
Review of the "Unearthed" tape in Necroscope #23:
Quote: | MANIPULATOR comes from a historical Rouen in Normandy, however they don't worship holy virgin Joanna with their music. I write "their" but we are talking about one man band! The "Unearthed" came to me on tape format with minimalist cover (drawn by Polish individual), nevertheless as I have read the material will still be released on CD soon. This is well founded idea because we are talking about full length with 7 tracks + outro. As it's usual with one man band we get simple, straight music here, although I can't say it is primitive nor minimalist! Although our French friend uses only simple and common riffs then he tries to arrange them by many tempos' changes into varied, interesting compositions. I think most often he respects such obscure, throbbing rhythms, which make the music so dark, the early NECROPHAGIA could be suggestion here. Also many slowdowns, which bring a sort of grim feelings, or ni the contrary, faster, more energeticrhythms (they are quite melodic sometimes) make the whole picture of the "Unearthed". Few guitar solos performed on a decent level are the final variation fot the Death Metal by MANIPULATOR! I can't say it's impressive, killer, I have an impression the author had not enough ideas for full length stuff yet. Nevertheless, the general impression is positive rather, like always when we listen to some classical, well done Metal of Death! I think marching obscure riffing is best for this project therefore I want to listen further recording made in this style! |
