I grabbed the Coffin Joe trilogy a couple years ago. I passed up the other one 'cause I thought the other films didn't really have anything to do with Coffin Joe, they just had a few clips from the first 2 films interspersed throughout. I could be mistaken however.

Has anyone seen the new Coffin Joe film Emobodiment of Evil? I nabbed a torrent of it but it wasn't in english.

If you are really into Coffin Joe the rest are the movies are definitely worth seeing. Theres always a lot of Coffin Joe in all the roles he plays, and even the later shit is just a continuation of the insane nightmare world he created with the first movies.
I thought Embodiment of Evil was ok, I think its only really enjoyable if you view it as its own thing and not the third Coffin Joe movie. It's pretty much just way too modern. One cool thing is its pretty gross.

I'm way behind on Miike. Have only seen Audition, Imprint, and that crazy western spoof.

I haven't seen that Miike but i'd like to more stuffs from him, any Box-sets that could be interresting?

But have anyone seen the Toxic Avenger series? It's pretty awesome, really funny shit with excellent characters, and you d'ont have to be drunk to find it funny. The guys directing it are metal/punk fans, and Lemmy from Motorhead plays a small role in part 4.

Gozu is worth a watch as well, youve got to love a film woith a character who can only get aroused by sticking a ladle up his arse.

Actual best, Troma is pretty killer. I met Lloyd Kaufman a couple of months ago, nicest guy.
