Are there any other recorded reh's?

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. And that supposed rehearsal from '82 which once was listed on Metal Archives, does that exist?

Killer post though! 5-star thread Very Happy

This was "Triumph Of death" in an ultra-bad Rehearsal version, but it was discussed on the old CF-board, that chances are high that this is/was a fake. Still I got it in my old tapetrading days, but the sound is absolute shit.

Triumph of Death was bad enough, I bet this is fucking horrible.

It's not all that bad. Quite muddy, but still audible.

sorry for thread-necromancy, but as there is no Celtic Frost thread...

That's most probably one of the reasons, why Tom left:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=380758931
(actually no real song-sample yet, more like a Totengott-interlude)

quote from Tom:

Triptykon will sound as close to Celtic Frost as is humanly possible, and the album I am working on will feature all the material I envisioned for the successor to "Monotheist". I envision the album to be a darker, heavier, and slightly more experimental development of "Monotheist".

"Cucifixus" is but one of many compositions to that end. Triptykon is not defined by just this one song, however, just like Celtic Frost was not defined by "Totengott" alone.
