I'm assuming that you don't have it yet but, maybe "An Ending In Fire" might be one that you'll like?
As for me, I didn't quite get into the band when I first heard them (circa 1995) but I gave it another chance roundabout 2002 and they've been a favourite ever since. Hardly anything quite as intense, plus some of the best lyrics ever. _________________ Behold the altar fallen

Well, I really love OFC. I just never could get into Angel Corpse at all. Songs/Sound are too "Swedish", but actually, the songs are boring to me. OFC have had more "real songs" and a better sound, imho... _________________

It also took quite some time until I really enjoyed Stillbirth Machine - Dawnbringer was more accessable and actually And I saw Eternity is my fave release.
Angelcorpse never seemed Swedish to me, when I first heard them I thought of them as a Morbid Angel clone with more speed and some chaotic "let´s write riffs that nobody else has done before"-riffs.
No offense at all, it is just interesting how different the perceptions can be.
As monsterSquad said - give them another chance, I think you might appreciate the band more now. _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

Don't see them around to often. There is a Red Wax and Black Wax. I've had the red since back then and just recently found the black! I personally like every OFC release and have been a fanatic since '90. one of My fave bands of all time! I'm still pissed I never got to see them live when I was still living in the US. Angelcorpse sounds more like Morbid Angel than swedish in my opinion _________________ Glorious Dawn Upon The Plateau Of Might Now Burns!!

If I remember correctly their inspiration was Ripping Corpse and Morbid Angel - thus the name. Sounds like classic US DM to me with one of the finest vocalists ever! Oh, and I love the overkill bass sound on the first album... even if it was supposedly a mistake. _________________ Ashes to ashes
