Opinions are like assholes...
No offense of course, hehe.
Throne of Nails weren´t that bad if my mind mind serves me right.
Are they still active? _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

Maybe that's a bit off-topic but while there's so many british people talking here, I wondered if someone of you might happen to know anyone who was associated with the great british Death Metal band BEYOND FEAR hailing from Orpington, Kent. They did two demos and a fantastic MCD called "Haunted By Vicious Of A Third Atrocity" and here's the names of its members:
Alex Betts - Guitar
Jon Betts - Vocals, Bass, Guitar
Doug Gray - Drums
Steve Smith - Bass (7th Child, ex-Gorerotted, Infected Disarray)
I'm trying desperately to find any of these people to make an interview with them as this MCD is among the best death metal that ever was done, so I appreciate any help in finding them. Maybe I'm lucky this way, if not at least I tried... |

I might be able to get you in touch with Steve, as I'm mates with some of the guys from Infected Disarray, don't quote me on this though, but I believe I heard he gave up on metal and discovered a love for fishing, so he might not be up for it. PM me with your email addy and I'll pass it on if you like though?
Throne of Nails are definetly dead, shame as I quite liked their album. I think one of them is in Conquest of Steel (power/heavy metal) but I'm not sure about the rest.
Nekro - I did get it but haven't had a chance to have a look yet, things are busy, busy here with all my course shit! I'll get back to you on it though! |

Well hope it provides a chuckle when you have the time.
Personally I will say that I don't really like Conquest of Steel, when it comes to 'true' heavy metal I will say I think Battlewitch and Dark Forest (not to be confused with the Canadian band) are pretty good, especially Dark Forest, but I say that 'cause I don't really know the music of Battlewitch but I remember it wasn't too bad!
Being honest as a general rule I'm not too keen on the load of British Technical or Brutal Death Metal bands (and as a general rule I'm not too keen on that sub genre anyway). Some are pretty good but as a general rule that sort of stuff bores me (unless its earlier stuff by Suffocation, or bands like Exhumed for example, but they're not British). |
