I've long since given up being pissed off at these leeches; I just say that the maniacs won't mind waiting for a few years 'til the trendies move on, and then they can offer them $5 for the record they spent $500 on!
But it does suck that people miss out... So I've always wondered why people don't set up a campaign against the E-pigs? These guys all use multiple addresses/accounts to order tons of copies, so why don't people create multiple ebay accounts? Then they can leave million dollar bids that no one can beat, and just not buy it! And then can't you leave nasty feedback too? Sure the seller will just relist it, but you can just keep leaving fake bids... You know all these sellers do underhanded shit like that (fake accounts, fake bidding to boost there own auctions, etc), so they can't complain too much! Maybe this isn't possible, I don't know too much about ebay?
And if reselling really gets out of hand, Yosuke can just stamp the diehards as "promos," which must be surrendered on demand. _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

Records don't become cheaper after time. There are always collectors out there.Otherwise stuff like Bathory's s/t Gold Goat would be going for cheap now.It just doesn't happen. As for Ebay,I could have never found some of my all-time wants.I know it can be frustrating but there are good deals to be found if you hunt long enough.Just don't bid ridiculous amounts. |

How about those hundreds of thrash records that sell for a few dollars nowadays? And on top, most of those are better than all that overrated and superexpensive black metal vinyl anyway.
But indeed, when you search long enough you'll eventually find a good deal on ebay. You need a fucking lot of patience though. |

Records totally get cheaper, just as they go up in price. I worked in record stores for years, and I'd laugh at some of the shit dudes would spend tons of cash on. Seriously, guys would put down $100 for a Jon Spencer Blues Explosion record, and you can't give them away now. And the same thing will happen to all these people spending tons of money on Isis or Sunn or whoever records. And that's what they get for treating them like currency rather than music.
And again, I'm not talking about all ebay, I'm just referring to the guys who buy a large chunk of a limited edition that's popular at the moment just to inflate the price. Ahg, why am I still talking about this... _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |
