|
|
I'm currently living in France and never had a single problem with customs when I order from Yosuke or any place else from overseas. I'm moving to Belgium very soon, and I read on a couple of different forums that people from there had problems with customs and had to pay to get their packages (or something like that, don't exactly remember)...
=> So I'm wondering, is it always like that? |

Years ago, must be 6 or 7 now, I bought a bunch of CD's on ebay from a guy in Asia. Customs withheld the package because they didn't believe the proclaimed value (the CD's were indeed cheap but not as cheap as indicated). I had to go all the way to Brussels to show shady smoke-filled office to show some faked printed ebay auctions with lower value before they released my package.
Two years ago, I had to pay taxes for a package from Southern lord because they declared the real value.
And recently I had troubles with the Blasphemy package from NWN. Also charged me taxes for it eventhough declared value was low. I guess they fucked me over because it was send by 'NWN productions' and packages are only free of taxes if send between individuals (and if they're non-commercial, and if their value is lower than €45. This is for non-European packages, no restrictions for EU countries)
So in general, with probably well over 100 packages received over the years, not that much trouble with customs. And if they charge you, it seems they always charge you €10.
