New album fucking kills. Next to the Antediluvian mLP this is the top release of the year so far.

Yep. Will be that way at the end of the year still.

Morbid Death Metal played the way it should be. With a combination of viscous, infectious riffing, unearthly and occult narrative and an atmosphere almost unheard of in today's music. Lantern is bound to satiate the hunger of the most possessed and death obsessed.

Drenched in morbid atmosphere, Subterranean Effulgence is a 22 minute journey to death, undeath, mysticism of existence and afterlife – and all that is hidden in between. Lantern manifests itself from beyond the void, beckoning you toward the grave. Let the ritual unearthing begin!

Featuring 5 tracks exclusive to this release on pro-CD and an 8 page booklet illustrated by Alexander (Bad News) Brown.

$10 US

Wholesale available and trades considered.

I finally put my hands on the real product and the excellent-looking layout supports the music very well IMO.

When it comes to the music, this MCD is simply of the best Metal releases to arise these last years. Their progress since the demo is amazing.

I agree. I loved Virgin Taste of Damnation, but this seriously kills it.

Thought some of you may have not seen these yet, so here's couple of videoclips shot at S-Osis, Turku (FIN) on november 5th 2011. These two songs split into two clips are part of the first Lantern gig ever.

1. Ritual Unearthing / Revert the Living into Death (1st part)
2. Revert the Living into Death (2nd part)

I'm pretty sure the second half of the first video and the entirety of the 2nd video is Revert the Living into Death.

Cruciatus uploaded some more Lantern live videos to youtube over the weekend. All four clips are from Freetime, Kuopio (FIN), 28th of january 2012. Enjoy, despite the sound.

Manifesting Shambolic Aura
Virgin Damnation
Revenant
Transmigration

The song Revenant should already be something new for the most. Other than that, full-length album is on the works.

Had no idea this band was a two-piece. Subterranean Effulgence is crushing.
