Correct me if I'm wrong, but Finland's brand of death metal has always been slightly darker than Swedish. _________________ A good hippie is a dead hippie |

And the point is? I just didn't get it. If you're referring to "Pain Amplifier" the guitars on these three releases included the same guitarist which is why it received a mention _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

The point is that death metal from Finland has always been darker than that in Sweden. The thread is about death metal works that are significantly filled with darkness. And Finland has had a few good band with that dark touch. Mythos and Belial are good examples. Swedish as good as it was/is, but their style was different, less dark I think. Maybe except for a more recent bands like Kaamos or Necrovation. _________________ A good hippie is a dead hippie |

Oh, my bad then. Yeah, this is true and even when it comes to bands like Grotesque, Gorement or Bloodstone who were considerably darker compared to other Swedish ones the flavor is quite different. Finnish death metal has a "twisted" vibe which is a bit hard to describe. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

More 'cold-blooded' I'd say, but I can understand your point. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

this...one of the most twisted and morbid release in some years.
also Immolation "Here in After" is one of the darkest and sinister dm albums of all time. |

Yeah. Yeah. Good term. Truly logical thinkers are all cold-blooded. They make the decisions that make humanists cry. |
