| And you can't talk about grind because why? Is black/death metal the only thing allowed? Jesus did the elite police siren just sound off ? |

No one's stopping you I hope.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of punk-derived music because it tends to be leftist, and leftism is a mental disease.
There's also less of a musical dimension than occurs in black metal or death metal, which tend to use structure and melody more.
I like Gridlink however, and of course classic grind like BLOOD, CARBONIZED, DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, TERRORIZER and AGATHOCLES. _________________ http://www.deathmetal.org/

nobody said you can't talk about grind, but bringing it up in every single fucking thread is really fucking annoying. Which is pretty much all Grindretard does. _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com

Yeah, I don't see many conversations about grind on here. Wormrot, Gridlink, Noisear, Parliamentarisk Sodomi, Detroit, Robocop, Iron Lung, Low Threat Profile have all released killer albums in the last few years. Any grind heads have some good recs for good new grind? |
Iron Lung are powerviolence and Low Threat Profile are hardcore. Neither band performs grindcore. _________________

More black/doom metal but with the same kind of atmosphere that the almighty WINTER conjures. However my favorite UT album is "In The Red". That is clearly a transitional album, moving their discography into a slightly newer direction. Fans are mostly divided up between those who worship the debut album and those who prefer everything that came after it. I like all of their albums though, but I still need to hear the last one. |
Killer band. I love In the Red and The Trident. They definitely don't get the love they deserve. I also love the two 10 inches they released in 2006-07. Not to mention Thralldom and the Howling Wind. Ryan was also on the first two Villains albums, which are also criminally underrated. |
Have you by any chance heard the last UT album already? Is it good? |
It's quite good, actually. Electrocution was a dud to me, couldn't get into it at all, but V is a nice return to the In the Red sound imo. |

Godless (Chile) definitely belongs here. Their EP and full length are phenomenal. Just as good as any of the top dogs in the current DM scene (Dead Congregation, Antediluvian, and whoever else).
Perversor. Everything this band has released has been great, their latest EP arguably being the best, yet I don't see them being talked about very much. They have their own brand of black/death or black/thrash or whatever you want to call it, so maybe that's why they get overlooked, not a typical Blasphemy or Sarcofago clone.
Desolate Shrine. Their latest album is absolutely fantastic, one of the best releases I've heard in a long time. Their debut didn't exactly blow me away at first (I guess I didn't understand the genius behind it ) but after listening it to again, I think it's nearly as good as their new one.
+1 for the following bands that I saw posted in the thread
Lantern
Cultes Des Ghoules
Witchrist
Nar Mattaru
Innsmouth
Truppensturm
The Chasm

I own only one Ares Kingdom album (first). Are they really so good?
Some new bands totally underrated for me :
Hour of 13 one of the best doom bands
Wrathblade (Hellas) one of the best 7'' ever and some epic parts from other dimension.
Abominator ( agreed)
Insision (swe) first two albums
Nuclear winter (Hellas) - their demo is an unknown gem.
Solitaire (Finland) great speedmetal in the 80s spirit
Pyoveli (fin) another one great thrash metal band totally underrated |

LUCIFERION - DEMONICATION (THE MANIFEST)
Released in 1994 and extremely underrated. From start to finish a death metal masterpiece complete with a ripping SODOM cover! |
