OVERKILL - Ironbound made me like them again.

Kathrasis is a good example of a band getting better and better.
Same with Absu and Watain.

I know some will disagree on this but I think 'Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite' is the best Ruins of Beverast.
-Another one is Lugubrum for 'Albino de Congo.'
-Judas Iscariot with 'Heaven in Flames.'
-Forgotten Woods 'Curse of Mankind'

Also, non metal-wise. 'The Great Annihilator' is my favorite Swans album. 'Let Love In' is my favorite Nick Cave album.

I agree completely. I might have a weird perspective because it's the first release of theirs I ever heard. But the earlier stuff, while brilliant, is nowhere near as crushing and surprising as the latest album. It's stunning from start to finish. How the hell does he get that guitar tone?

yeah, I feel the same way. Although it wasn't the first RoB stuff I heard, it was the first that really gripped me, and the one that stayed with me the most.

'Restless Mills' is one of the best songs ever.

I saw some mentions of Armagedda and I disagree. I prefer their tracks that aren't on the 3 full-lengths and those are indeed old, give a go to Echoes in Eternity, it's a compilation of their best songs.

To mention a band that released better and better albums: Cryfemal from Spain. The first two albums are worthless, the third is a good DSBM release, the last one is agressive as fuck, with the fourth being a good blend between that two.

You're nuts man, nothing on Echoes of Eternity even touches anything on Ond Spiritism. There are definitely some fantastic songs on Echoes. I Am also has some great stuff, and the title track is one of my favorite Armagedda songs, but still Ond Spiritism reigns by far supreme over everything the band produced from beginning to end.

Ond Spiritism rules supreme over everything that was released at that time, 00-05 (with very few exceptions, like Funeral Mist)

I never said anything bad about Ond Spritism (because if you compare the full-lengths, it's indeed the best), but they were still better with their raw/suicidal sound. It doesn't really matter since I love everything they released and will buy the DVD soon.
