Of course! Don't forget the Sindrome demos! There was also Impulse Manslaughter, but they were more of a hardcore band. Unfortunately I was way to young to ever see any of these bands. _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

Well, it's bigger, so those elements have their own cliques and only mix with the real metal crowd on an occasional basis. There are plenty of curious nerds drinking PBR at Nachtmystium shows for example. But Chicago has never had the hippie culture that SF does, that's for sure.
I never got into Impulse Manslaughter too much, but the Sindrome stuff is great of course. Don't know Terminal Death. Plenty of early HM to discover too, like Hammeron and Slauter Xstroyes, both way overvalued nowadays but good. |

Oh there's tons that haven't been mentioned, I'm just not sure whether the "old school" line falls... Cianide too of course, although I greatly prefer their later material (i.e. Divide and Conquer). |
