I think it'll come eventually. The chapters on Bathory and Dead are really good. What's funny to read is how everyone, almost literally, turned their backs on Euronymous, even childhood friends like Necrobutcher. All shit talking him. Hellhammer seems the worst for it. The guy seemed like a bit of a show boater and dreamer but he was still really just a kid. I'm one of those people who think Mayhem isn't Mayhem without Euronymous so maybe that colours my point of view. Still...
I've only read a handful of chapters, the one on Nifelheim, Watain, Bathory and Dead. Still lots to cover |

| The last ever interview with Jon Nödtveidt is the best thing about this book. Overall the book is very interesting and good but the one chapter with that gender study approach almost ruins the whole thing. I mean, they actually went to interview (mostly) random female fans about how it was to be a girl/woman in the 90s Swedish metal scene. "Now let's see, we have these chapters on Kvarforth, Nifelheim, Nödtveidt, Watain, Bathory, hmmm, I'm sure a chapter on female fans would sit quite nicely with those!" |

Well, this is Sweden. It wouldn't be that without a good dose of feminism.
By the way, if interested, I found the court's judgement on Jon and 'Vlad'. It's an interesting read. None of them come out of it looking too good.

The UK is such an angry little island, whhen I was young we (metalheads) used to fight with the 'trendies' over a patch of city centre that we called our own. But the sttitude in general over here is fucked, if I could leave I would. _________________

That's a great chapter. In hindsight, it puts a lot of things in perspective I suppose. Overall it's a great book. Probably the best one on the whole subject I've read so far. |

Wikishitpedia says: In the Swedish metal book Blod eld död ('Blood Fire Death', an allusion to Swedish band Bathory's fourth album Blood Fire Death), his brother said in an exclusive interview that Dead was bullied in school and one day the beatings got out of hand causing the ruptured spleen.[4] He had to be rushed to a hospital, where he was for a time clinically dead.[5][2] After this near-death experience he became enthralled with death and dying. _________________ i have harnessed the shadows that stride

| I really like these derogatory terms "poof" and "poofter". I'm going to start using them... What's the etiquette for when to use each one ? |

Yes, that is basically written in the chapter with Pelle Dead ("snart kom det fram att han hade blivit misshandlav av en gäng i skolan så pass illa att mjälten hade spruckit").
That was also the reason why he changed school where he met new friends that were also into Metal like him. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

Just don't. Americans shouldn't use foreign slang. It just makes you look like a try-hard. _________________ "man i love slayer so much i grew my face "

I asked about translation some 5-6 months ago, and this was the reply:
