The fans maybe. But that accusation could never be levelled at the band.

Actually I was referring to their music. I've never met them, and the EW fans I know aren't posers.

Funny how that when this band was actually good (Let Us Prey and back) people weren't going this apeshit over their releases. Actually, it makes total sense.

Come on now, Dopethrone is a classic. The guitar sound is fucking immense. And Funeralopolis has some of the most crushing riffs of all time.

It took me a while to get into EW's vocals - more dude than demon, if you know what I mean - but I got over it.

The new 7" sound sub-par, though. Second track especially sounds kinda sloppy, lazy, or what have you.

Eh, nothing I've heard by them, which admittedly isn't everything, has really moved me. I liked the recent stuff better, I think because they metalled up their riffs. Still seems like they haven't [yet?] gone all the way, again musically speaking.

"Posery" was a poor choice of words. Amateurish, maybe, which is not always a bad thing and I guess part of their appeal, just not to me.

Yeah I get what you mean now- posery was the wrong choice of word. I'm not a fan of the music at all but I can't argue with their (his) 20 years of service.

I think Dopethrone, Witchcult and Come My Fanatics are all great. Black Masses was decent.

One good song, reminds a lot of Drugula though really... and the other one without the lyrics, an unfinished quick release just to release some useless 7".

forget who said it in another thread, but i agreed with them on thinking the band got better when they moved more towards an occult style once Liz got into the band. my favorite stuff is easily Witchcult/Black Masses but there's nothing bad from the band. their heaviest stuff was definitely their older material but there's something about the newer records that grabs me. you always know its an electric wizard song though, no matter what LP.

Idk what you guys were talking about but Dopethrone is one of the best things ever. Love the vocals

That's pretty much what I like too. I cancelled my Interpunk order; I can wait a little bit longer on "Black Masses" & the 7" isn't mandatory from what I listened to on youtube. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if they turned up on their next full length (or slightly diff versions).

I wish "Supercoven" would get a nice vinyl reissue.

Anyone else recognizing that the beginning of "Legalise Drugs & Murder" sounds exactly like "The Chosen Few" ?
