When the old Mayhem website was up their use to be a download thread in the forum with loads of live gigs audio only. Then the band complained about it and they were taken down. Luckly I downloaded most of them but nothing was ever posted from before DMDS.
Some good stuff pictures / videos posted here.
Does anybody know if Life Eternal will be officially released on vinyl? I have the bootleg but would like an official version. |

The Mayhem Live in Ski 86 video is insane.
Never thought I'd see that. |

Just type the right keywords on google, and you'll find it easily. Was not aware that Blasphemer or Necrobutcher were filling on for the vocals sometimes! |
Found it too! Thanks. |

Can't find a topic dedicated to the Norwegian airlines poll, so I'll try here.
http://www.halehelter.no/ It seems like Euronymous is not on the final list
Hey norwegians, can you give some translations? _________________

He was removed from the poll because his family wanted so. _________________

These tales of rehearsal tapes with Occultus don't pan out, I'm fairly convinced he has said himself no such recordings exist. I think even Euronymous commented at some point on how quickly he disappeared from the band, which adds to the unlikeliness. Those two tracks that are constantly presented as having Occultus on bass and vocals are probably the "Live in Leipzig" lineup sometime in 1990 or early '91.
Some things I still wonder: is Snorre really on DMDS, and was it recorded with the entire band in the studio or did they ship in Attila later? And, maybe more importantly: does there really exist an early raw mix of the record without the vocals? A tape with a similar description was sold at Neseblod at some point and I think it supposedly originated from Maniac.
Edit: Bonus: Anyone know where this picture was taken?

No clue, the whole recording of DMDS is a shady thing to me. At least here you have Vikernes, Euronymous and Snorre on one picture:
Guess this was around the time of the recording. |
