Ha!

Had this one dubbed on tape, the Exploited-medley from Slayer feat. Ice-T was pretty cool.

The same producers later compiled the soundtrack for (the shitty movie) SPAWN, I still have this on CD.

I gave the Spawn soundtrack to a friend who cannot remember where he put it... Rolling Eyes It was a shitty techno remix sampler anyway, only the asshole of a record collector that lives inside my head still wants it back. Brutal Truth and Godflesh were good though.

Question

Those are not on my CD.

The only good track is (again) Slayer/ATR - No Remorse.

Mercyful Fate : Don't Break the oath
(was pretty sure i would never find anything better when i first listened to it, sadly i was right!)
Mayhem : De Mysteriis
Burzum : Hvis Lyset
Bathory : Blood Fire Death

(First real bm i listened to)
Judas Priest : Defenders of the faith
Jimmy Hendrix and the band of gypsys live lp

(i remember pretty well doing not so accurate air guitar on Machine gun)

Maybe I am confusing something, wasn't it called something like "extreme metal meets extreme techno"??

Well I can't remember Atari Teenage Riot & Slayer on the other hand.

I thought you meant this:

I guess this was only Earache cashing in on a trend:

We used to listen to the Judgment Night soundtrack when we played basketball back then. Total wigger style. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was also a favourite. Never liked techno because I didn't take the right drugs, ATR was fun anyway.

Metallica-Master of Puppets
Iron Maiden-Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Slayer-Reign in Blood
Napalm Death-From Enslavement to Obliteration
Blasphemy-Fallen Angel of Doom
Autopsy-Mental Funeral
Burzum-Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Terrorizer-World Downfall
Reverend Bizarre-In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend
Impaled Nazarene-Ugra-Karma

I think these were the albums that I listened the most from age 12 to 16. Had to narrow it down to that age rate, there would be more than 10 after that.

Venom "Black Metal" and "Welcome To Hell" (influence cannot be understated)
Metallica "Kill Em All"
Bathory "Under The Sign of The Black Mark" (at 12, scared the shit out of me)
Deicide "Deicide"
Disembowelment "Transcendence into the Peripheral"
Cryptopsy "None So Vile"
Iron Maiden "Iron Maiden" and "Killers"
Napalm Death "Breed to Breathe"
Misfits "Coffin Box"
Slayer "Show No Mercy"
Ildjarn "Forest Poetry" (set my example for what all black metal should sound like)

Yeah that first DEICIDE lp was endlessly spun everywhere we went. As good as it still is, I find it hard to listen to it anymore given how dumb the band has acted since then. It almost feels like the stupid could be contagious.

First three DEICIDE were and are still part of my favourite DM albums, I even rank them higher as anything released by MORBID ANGEL. It's the perfection of what I consider as "Brutal Death Metal".

The band itself (or at least Glen Benton) was always stupid from the beginning, so nothing gets spoiled here for me.

I really only like (worship!) Altars of Madness from Morbid Angel. I can pretty much do without the rest of their stuff. I keep the Blessed are the Sick LP because my mother got it for me. It was the first and last time she ever bought me a Metal record Laughing
