"Contragenesis" is EASILY the best death metal recording I've heard this year, pretty much perfect in every way. The songwriting, the recording, the vocals, the guitar ans bass tone, the drum sound, the mix... everything comes together. This might even be better than "Death Transmutation". Devastating.

This. Except I'd put the War Master debut LP up there as well as far as best death metal of the year. But, they are completely different style of death so I don't need to decide if one is better than the other !
Love this band, and I hope to see them again live someday. They were simply awesome at RoD 3 . |

These guys really took it up a notch and then some, with this album.
I totally agree with everything Yosef said. The only thing that comes close for me, is the Horrendous debut. Even that's not that close, though.
Contragenesis is a fucking riff machine. It's relentless. |

Agree, it was spun 4 times yesterday. I do like it better than Death Transmutation
