I kind of overdid it with the first album, listened to it constantly for days until I just got sick off it. I like to revisit that album every couple of years ago, but I have never gotten into their later stuff.

Call it their Disney album...doesn't make a difference to me. Battle Magic is by far my favorite. The melodies are spot-on epic. The song Crystal Shards also reminds me of this theme from a computer game I used to play as a kid, so it yields some nostalgia.

Great band, I don't like all of their albums though, some of them don't click with me at all. My favourite is Starfire Burning probably, followed by The Power Cosmic.

One of my favourite bands of all time. I like all albums, but "A Black Moon..." and "Battle Magic" are the ones I enjoy the most.
I wish somebody released all albums on vinyl...

Anyone of the "fans" here ever saw them live?

Because this must have been one of the most shittiest performances I've ever witnessed, right next to Mystic Circle and Morgart/Forsth.

I've seen them 4 times I think, split equally between great and awful.

I like Starfire, but everything else I've heard is so-so. Haven't listened to them in ages.

I think Cacaphonous released first two albums on Vinyl.

I saw them once and I didn't like it very much too... I was very disappointed.

Up to and including 'Starfire Burning...', they were good. Live, however, they were absolutely horrendous both times. They raise the important issue of where music which is intended to be atmospheric is stripped of all intended value when performed live.
