I dont know what is next, but I saw Agalloch last night and was pretty impressed. My expectations were low as they have never gotten much priase live. Also they arent exactly playing the kind of music that will get you heart pumping. But the band performed near flawlessly. No gimmicks or triggers or samples, so they were stripped down, but it all worked really well. I was impressed with their ability to turn their somewhat somber sound into a more intense jam live. I swear Aesop was absolutey prefect in every hit and you would know cause the snare is fucking loud live. John's vocals sounded exatctly as they do on record and that is really rare for any band. I know agalloch isnt a metal ov death band, but it is what it is. _________________ People I want to kill: Russell Brand....fucking annoying. |

Going to see them in Montreal! How was the setlist? I love all their material, but prefer their old stuff...
Anyway, last: Hell's Pleasure (what a fantastic festival, holy hell, I had a really great time there!!!!!) - next: Gates of Slumber and Hammers of Misfortune in Montreal. _________________ Cauchemar - Heavy/Doom metal: http://www.facebook.com/cauchemarmetal

Last one (bands among others)
Genticorum from Quebec, fantastic stuff
Khukh Mongol was stunning as always
El Mago Masin, local hero
Zwirbeldirn, great traditional music
Baskery from Sweden, wohoo, a bit in the vein of Katzenjammer
All bands at the Bardentreffen in my hometown (200.000 people visited the 3-days festival with 6 main stages and dozens of places with artists beyond the official program).
I watched probably 20 other bands, but they didn't grab my attention as much as the upper mentioned ones. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:
