I've had this LP for aeons, but never listened to it too much. Something compelled me today and it's pretty cool. Do people know it?

And I guess what is impressed upon me is how 'Chicago' the sound of it is... this came out in '91 and if you reference bands like Scepter and Usurper which would have followed (if not by much) it's interesting to observe not only the influence these guys had on the scene there.

Or is it a great coincidence???

Also, it's a TURBO records release. Other than Beherit, I never came across much from that label.

Aaaarrrgghhhh I break me a femur for FUNERAL NATION!!!

I have consumed their records... fucking killer stuff.

After the Battle is only a total Masterpiece for me.

You cannot forget that other fetid masterpiece of GOATLORD "Reflections of the Solstice" (1991), or the MORTUARY (Mex) 7'' ep (1991)...
and ACHERON debut album "Rites Of The Black Mass" (European version).

I don't have instead the VV.AA. "Triumph of Death", issued in 1992, also for TURBO MUSIC with Beherit, Samael, Acheron, Death Yell, Carcass and Mortuary songs Sad

exactly...i like the tape sound version & the MLP sound version. I do not have the "state of insanity" 7" version unfortunately.
The sound of the 5 songs in this DEMO/MLP are a little bit more raw than the same songs on the full LP but killer like always.

Yeah they don't seem to be a band people are overly buzzed on. I reckon I've had that LP for 10 years and listened to it maybe 3 times. I like it, but never really found anyone engaging with it... till now at any rate he he

I "engage with this album" very much. If I made a top ten list this would be on it. I can listen to this album all the time and never think it's old or outdated.
