Yesss! I bet this album will be in my top 5 come the end of the year. |
Mmmmmmmm.....I feel strange at my first listen....
Not the thing I expected....
Different from the great GRIM ARTS OF MELANCHOLY.....
I will wait to hear the whole album but....I expect that if the rest of the songs are in this vein, it definitely WONT beat GRIM ARTS OF.... (their best stuff). _________________ MILITIA EST VITA HOMINIS SUPRA TERRA

From NORTHERN HERITAGE website:
"BAPTISM "As The Darkness Enters" LP/CD coming hopefully November 2012. Shows band at their most skilled and matured form. Traditional Baptism shines with sinister power, yet added nuances, details and clarity in sound. Their most ambitious album! "
...details and clarity in sound...
It seems to be like the NEW BEHEXEN....(My soul for his glory, Nightside emanations)
I can not help comparing the new sound to the old sound and new sound loses. _________________ MILITIA EST VITA HOMINIS SUPRA TERRA

I don't think this sound is dramatically different from Grim Arts which was pretty "polished" already. A bit cleaner drums, but with those drumming skills I don't mind. I do agree that the new Behexen was a sliiight disappointment in its sound. Somehow I still haven't got into that record properly. |

My first impression of this is that it's really flat and boring. Kind of reminds me of Tiamtu. _________________

I like the vocals, do they sound a little different and raspier than Chalice of Death to anyone else? _________________ www.nankingrecords.com |
