Arosian Black Mass pt. II continues to focus upon the esoteric aspects and can now reveal that the event will be endowed with a lecture about "Early Satanism" by Per Faxneld (doctoral research fellow at the University of Stockholm).
Mr Faxneld is a leading scholarly authority on Satanism. His dissertation focuses on Lucifer as a liberator of women in literature and esotericism 1772-2012, with a particular focus on the demonic feminine and figures like Lilith. He has written the book Mörkrets apostlar ("Apostles of Darkness", 2006, 252 pp.) on the early history of Satanism, published several articles and book chapters on related topics, co-edited The Devil's Party: Satanism in Modernity for Oxford University Press (due out this November) and lectured all over the world. He was co-organizer of the international academic Satanism conferences in 2009 (Trondheim) and 2011 (Stockholm).
The lecture will be held during the afternoon of the Saturday (24-11-2012) and is included in the price for the 2-day pass and the 1-day pass (Saturday). There will also be a special lecture ticket (which doesn't include access to the musical acts) to a reduced price (80 SEK / €9,60), for those visitors that want to listen to Mr Faxneld's lecture but who got no interest in the musical acts. This special lecture ticket will only be valid between 14:30-17:00 on the Saturday.

Festival slayed! Good atmosphere and nice bands. Highlights are Horns and Ofermod.

I've seen Ofermod once on stage and if their performance is reported as a highlight it's either they were not at their best the day I witnessed them or that this whole fest was rather boring... |
