Obviously a lot of people here have this CD so i hope someone can help me out.
Already had this album since a couple of years back but since it's pretty rare i picked up another one in an online auction on a Swedish site because it was cheap.
Thing is, it's not the same version that i had earlier. Does anyone have any info on this release? Discogs has no info on different releases.
They are indentical (booklet, inlay) except for the CD. One being black and one silver. Got the black one today and had the silver one before.
Also the matrix is different:
Black: WRR-030 AMERITONE CUSTOM RECORDE 64395SX1 IFPI L601
Silver: DISC MFG, INC (A) W.0 # 70886-1 CSCD-5709
Is one of them some copy perhaps? Would appreciate any info.

| the one I had was with the black disc as in the first pic. Bought it at the Wild Rags store in 94 or 95. I wouldn't rule out that it was later repressed with the silver surface though. |

Seems like everywhere i look on the internet, i can only find pics of the black one. So what is the silver one? A bootleg of a bootleg?  |

I had the silver one but I traded it away a long time ago. I never knew there were multiple types.

| I'll check out which version my cd is tonight when I get home from work. I'm fairly sure it's the black cd though. |

Correct. It's like that on both releases.
I contacted Wild Rags on facebook and they can't tell me much about this album. As far as i know, both are official releases even though the matrix on the silver one is a bit strange. My guess is that the black one is the first one and the silver one were pressed later. |

the Black CD has an IFPI code, as I see this album was released in 1992 but IFPI codes started to appear in 1994 so I think that the Black CD is a possible repress or bootleg perhaps?

Isn't it one of his daughters running it? She was selling deadstock for a long time at LA gigs.

Every Wild Rags release that has been sold (that are included on this site) is the black CD.

As i said, i can't find any info or pictures on the silver one. It's like it doesn't exist.
But as you said. IFPI codes started to appear in 94, which would make the black one a repress or bootleg. Maybe this means that the silver one is actually the first press? Maybe that's why you never see it being sold anywhere. |
