STAGNANT WATERS - s/t - CD - AV005
debut album - custom 7" packaging
Awe-inspiring album of mutant music. Firmly rooted in extreme metal, Stagnant Waters present a higly radioactive mix of scathing guitars, otherworldly electronics, dadaistic improvisation, uncompromising complexity and unnatural tempos.
Comprised of Norwegian vocalist Svein Egil “ZWEIZZ” Hatlevik (Fleurety, Umoral, ex-DHG/Dødheimsgard), drummer/electronics operator/clarinetist Aymeric Thomas (Pryapisme) and guitarist/bassist Camillle Giraudeau (Dreams of the Drowned, Smohalla), Stagnant Waters have recorded a spontaneous, experimental and energetic album, a maximalistic, hedonistic and animalistic celebration of unfettered creativity.

Reviews:
“The fusion of black metal, electronica, industrial, and jazz was all thrown together into a blender and sliced apart before becoming something far more original and fearsome. Though, knowing what each of the members of the band have come from and done in their other bands and projects, I guess it shouldn’t come as such a surprise. [...] I had been waiting for this album for several years now and it certainly did not disappoint me. If anything, it actually surprised me with the directions that the band explored on several of these tracks and, if only for that, I love the album. Check this out, it’s easily one of the most exciting black metal records I’ve heard all year.”

"Man kann sich "Stagnant Waters" ungefähr als das Album vorstellen, das die logische Steigerung von DHGs "666 International" sein könnte. Auf LSD. Mindestens."

YUREI - Night Vision - CD - AV006
sophomore album - custom 7" packaging
After the critically acclaimed “Working Class Demon” from 2010, Yurei returns with a work venturing even further into the weird. Building on the same expression as his first album, “Night Vision” takes it all so much further and travels into a landscape of his own; gone are the distorted guitars (removing the already faint previous traces of metal) and in comes a parade of dali-like creatures of the night: twisted, progressive, Lynchian tracks with hectic Balkan-inspired outbursts going off inside the dissonant but still melancholic and driven rock.

"If Ihsahn was more jazz and mellow I swear his solo releases would sound like this. Virus and Ved Buens Ende have to be proud and the worship level are so high in Yurei it's amazing.. It's not metal at all but has such a Post Black metal spirit I almost want to call it this just out of respect."

"Tatsächlich ist "Night Vision" in meinen Ohren als "Carheart"-Nachfolger eine echte und nachvollziehbare Alternative zu "The Black Flux" - obwohl die Alben atmosphärisch kaum unterschiedlicher sein könnten! Genauer setzt "Night Vision" für meine Begriffe den musikalischen und emotionalen Weg von "Carheart" fort, ist dabei aber kompakter, einheitlicher, geradliniger."
