|
|
I dont mean best band of each country but band which best creates music that sounds/looks swedish/french/greek or whatever. Music that speak of their country history, character & culture I guess.
Plus I don't mean nationalist sentiment or gay "folk" music, just music/band that seem express their country somehow, even not intentional.
For me:
Sweden: is Woods of Infinity. The weirdness and humor, the visuals and lyrics all seem me to be very of Sweden. Swede society seem more open and with quirks than morose neighbour of Norway (no critiscism). Which lead to:
Norway: is Burzum, possible early Ulver too. The artworks, lyrics have dark melancholy and long nights of dark. One see mountains covered in pine trees in their music, old wood cabins.
Germany: is Kraftwerk, sort of nerd technology love and precision, electronic and clinical. Plus Absurd, which is opposite of Kraftwerk but perhaps of accent of singer is more German than sausage in tins. It is more "old" Germany of Teutons.
Excuse my bad English. I try my best for this thread |

I think that Master's Hammer did a fantastic job of capturing the idiosyncracies of the Czech nation. Sometimes i think that the Czechs arent even as aware of what im refering to as much as we Slovaks are. |

Transylvania: TORMENTOR - Anno Domini
100% authenticity, no other band came close to that. |

Nokturnal Mortum - "Lunar Poetry", "Goat Horns". Some tracks on other albums, too. Fullmoon - "United Aryan Evil", early Graveland, Infernum, Veles for Poland. Temnozor' - "Sorcery...", "Horizons". Korrozia Metalla - "Orden Satany", "Russian Vodka" for Russia.
Master's Hammer and Tormentor, of course. Early Negura Bunget.

Italy: Monumentum - art, hedonism, superior culture, pure mediterranean tastes translated into music.
Germany: Onkel Tom - sausages, gross behaviour, excessive alcohol consumption, poor cognitive skills/levels of education, poor taste in clothes and antifa moronism a go-go. The perfect portrait of modern Krautland. _________________ Permabanned |

NK7 - you crack me up sometimes!
Italy: Abysmal Grief (horror movies, religion, accent)
Greece: Necromantia (the sound is like the ancient gods, the atmosphere is really "hot")
Colombia: Parabellum (chaos, biting insects, insane noise) |

Their sound just reeks of Japanese, and I don't mean "reek" in a bad way. _________________ "By all evidence we are in the world to do nothing."
