For England I add: Death in June, I not sure why, just sound pure English to me.
Also Hammemit, England for me is old church, medeival time and ancient stone. This band sum up this atmosphere for me, at least on debut CD. Though I guess half band is Swedish. |

Some people here are just mentioning their favourite bands from a given country hence missing the point of the thread completely. There's no way a cheap 2nd generation norsecore ripoff like Mutiilation could ever represent a country whose soul lies in expensive wine, fashion and chauvinism.

Really? They don't seem to capture the feeling of the US at all. I'd say something like early Metallica for the US and AC/DC for Australia.

That's what I meant with the previous post. Late Manowar could probably incarnate the essence of the US fairly well: overdone, populistic and a parody of themselves. Usurper, too.
