| I'm not going to say what band or release it was but I once paid $139 for a demo/promo cassette of one of my favourite bands. It was made by the main member of the band, and it is so rare that I had no idea it even existed and aside from that one auction, I have never once seen it again or read of any mention of it online outside of myself. I willingly paid an absurdly high price for it but I have absolutely no regrets! |

I bought a Japanese press of Space Ritual by Hawkwind with booklet and poster for £135, about 2 years later I got another copy for £30, and the bonus for me as a Hawkwind fan is that the labels on the records are different! It's tragic, but I am happy!

Happened to me twice lately that I've bought a record I wanted, got it, the condition wasn't nearly as good as I wanted and ended up paying again, more money to get one in the condition I wanted. When I think about it, it seems fucking ridiculous but I guess that's what makes it funny too.

I bought IRON MAIDEN - Somewhere In Time LP about three times until I was able to have a decent LP, and sleeve for the album... a record with no marks or scratches etc etc mixed and matached 
I paid $10 more for Enslaved - The Sleeping Gods then the guy who won the auction for the next listed one I seen about a week later. 
Now there is one with about a day left and still only $10. hint hint to anyone wanting that EP (on Ebay) |

13 copies- and not listed on metal archives. I'm fairly sure I know what cassette this is...  |

| Time = money. 2 hours spent on e-bay searching for something could be better spent listening to music, working, reading etc. So getting something quick and in good condition and having that time for me is more valuable than a couple of extra euros. |

€60 for the Epitaph/Excruciate split LP. Way too much considering its musical quality and the fact that it is not all that rare.
