| I haven't heard this one yet. I'm familiar with the last two. How does this compare? Is it in the same vein? |

Why would you ask for a written review when you can go to Youtube and listen for yourself? |

I find all his solo albums similar yet different. They kinda all exist in the same plane but experiment out in different directions. I think the first is the rawest and maybe the most daring, as it went so far off the path from Emperor (the final track is a 10 minutes "musical theater" piece in complete Devil Doll style).
I think it's a great record (of course).
Many people were angry at it and still are. Others love it. To each their own.
It's not a glossy record at all, IMO. It's meant to be progressive and harsh. _________________ motW/Lykathea Aflame/Sigh/Thy Catafalque/SYL available

Twat nose!
I always use MA reviews. Just felt like making small talk. I'm a lonely metalhead. |

Yea, I get that. MA reviews are not exactly fine reading either... I miss the damned days before MA/internet when I looked forward to a article in a printed magazine dictating to me which albums sucked and which didn't.
Now with the plethora of endless albums pouring out from every corner of the globe and the vast array of contrasting opinions on every one of them, there is only download/listen/buy/or delete as the process to what is good or not. Sterile and cold. |
