I knew I forgot something!! that's a corker of an ep |
Definitely. Sadly, the full length is no where near as good _________________

I love the first album but was a bit disappointed in Deadspeak - a real shame that the drums had to be programmed - I heard that Skitz had recorded drum tracks but that there was something wrong with them sound wise
Abramelin were certainly awesome live though (as were Acheron). Simon had a hell of a voice and great stage presence _________________

Deadspeak was a disaster on every level. After heaps of lineup problems they rewrote a lot of the music, making it way more mechanical and lifeless (as if the drum machine wasn't bad enough).
If they would have kept Skitz and Rob in the band and fucked off that Backbeach production; which has marred many an otherwise great Aussie record "Phoenix Rising" being a great case in point; I'm sure Deadspeak would have been a much better record. _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com

Keep them coming. Good lists so far, I'll have to listen to some of these I never heard _________________

One EP that I quite like and haven't seen mentioned yet is UNCREATION's Death to Humanity. Great SUFFOCATION worship. _________________

Some of my all times favorites there. I never understood why Symphony of Grief went so under-rated, fair enough there's no memorable riffs, but the overall atmosphere is more putrid than a pit of dogs with AIDS.
Darkified too, with only Grotesque coming close THE best thing to come out of the Swedish underground. |

Haha nice way to describe it. Great band, even their newer release kicks ass!
I don't get why Darkified don't get more love. They're a lot darker, putrid and more memorable than a lot of Swedish stuff that get labeled "forgotten classics/gems" _________________

I have sadly only just heard Abramelin recently. Really great stuff! Wish it the material would get reissued so i can have more than MP3's. _________________ "If noise means uncomfortable sound. Then pop is noise to me" - Masami Akita. |
