Got two versions of Seven Chalices.
Anyone know which is the repress?
Metal-archives says it's the glossy one but i don't trust that site. Seen many mistakes on it.
Glossy booklet - matrix: GZ V30367 NED022 CD
Matte booklet - matix: <53590> Seven Chalices builtbyicon.com 01 |

I remember getting the CD when it got out and it was not a glossy booklet. _________________

Repress = high gloss.
Easy to confuse, as both are considered glossy technically, but the first one could also be called "standard" coated stock, i.e. most commonly used in CD booklets. I don't think there was a matte edition, I think it's probably just low / standard gloss. Though I didn't touch that CD for quite some time, so can't be sure. The first edition wasn't high gloss though, that's definite. |
Thank you!
You are right, it's not really matte. I just used that word since that was what metal-archives used. It's definitely more matte than the repress though. That one is really glossy.
Now i know, so case closed |

Got the CD directly from Nasko when it was issued and it was the matte one. _________________ Great deals with: Orionized, DEVORADOR DE PLAGAS, Mental Funeral, MEDICAL_WASTE

I asked NED about it. Seems like there are no repress. One is US edition and the other is EU.
EU - High glossy booklet - matrix: GZ V30367 NED022 CD
US - Matte/standard booklet - matrix: <53590> Seven Chalices builtbyicon.com 01
The one with NED in the matrix is clearly the European press since they are located in France. The US press has builtbyicon in the matrix which AJNA usually have on their CDs (they also use FLAME sometimes). AJNA is located in the US so it makes sense.
I guess both were released in 2009. |
