I rather Ildjarn get big rock star monies for good music than Mortiis get big mionies for music of gays.
I hail the reissues. 
And so he is school teacher? Maybe he teach them ways of real black metal, grow up to be third wave of Norway. Could possible IMO. |

Or, I could wait for the SOM ones...

We have a copy of the 'Is Dead' CD at the store. I think it's $25 though. |

There was no hype. It is a part of Black-Metal's history, like it or not. |
Dito, the hype will only start now most likely. I am pretty sure it was less the "life-long interest in underground extreme Metal", but rather the prices charged/paid for Ildjarn-records nowadays, that got SOM into doing the re-releases. Hopefully, their expectation to make some $$$ on Ildjarn will fall flat, though.
As soon as this is not a "rare collectors item" anylonger, but becomes widely available, a lot of people will loose interest in it. How many people are really into "Lo-Fi Black Metal" of the kind Ildjarn used to play? Not many during the 1990ties, so much can be said.

I first heard Ildjarn's Det Frysende Nordariket in 2000 and I was 17 then, until now, this is one of my top five bands for alltime. Mesmerizing.
I think there are many people that really like his music.
Boy, how I miss those times, everything sounded really magically and out of this world. It still is, but not that strong. |

art school punks might buy them, there were quite a few bands started by art school punks and hipsters a few years ago playing that type of stuff.

Det Frysende Nordariket = Norse + Minnesjord – The Dark Soil + Ildjarn 93. So they are all getting reissued separately.

It's a fair price. You can score Ildjarn stuff on Ebay quite easily and for reasonable prices, considering the KVLT-factor, it's special interest music in the end.
