DARKTHRONE "Panzerfaust" + "Total death"
DØDHEIMSGARD "Kronet til konge" + "Monumental possession"
ISENGARD "Høstmørke"
MALIGN" Fireborn"
OFERMOD "Mystérion tés anomias"
ULVER "Nattens madrigal"
+ Aura Noir, Deströyer 666, Nifelheim, Absu and a number of other great bands put out solid records during that time frame as well......

- annoying your Metal-friends with recent Gothic/Darkwave discoveries |

Agreed. Abigor is one of my all-time favorite bands. The conjured up the perfect blend of harsh Black Metal and swirling baroque-esque compositions.

Believe it or not, "Det Glemte Riket", "Svartalvheim" and "Trolltaar" are Norwegian BM at its very finest. If you like early Dimmu Borgir, this is for you. |
