You can get the cd for around $30 - $40.
Can't believe how many people like Club Mondo though - easily Pungent Stench's worst release and a real letdown when released. |

Thanks, I was mainly referring to the vinyl edition though. As for CMB, I can see why certain people would dislike it. It's one of those "sell out" post-dm albums that bands used to release in the mid-90ies with the clear purpose/hope of making it big and jumping on the groove metal bandwagon, see also Atrocity's Blut, Cancer's Black Faith, Carcass' Swansong, Massacra etc. The wimpy side of me happens to like that particular sound unfortunately. _________________ Permabanned |

For me the lowest point of Vienna Homeboys is Masters of... Dull and boring. I won't call Club Mondo 'sellout', all those sex shit fart themes are not easy to sell and I love the groove in fact. _________________ http://knightinsatansservice.bigcartel.com/ |

Klyster Boogie!
Masters... sounds too much like modern Thrash, indeed. Ampeauty is great though, I wish they would have continued after this. _________________ What beats global warming? nuclear winter |

No, Cineploit mainly does movie sound track inspired music rather than soundtracks from Actual movies. Check out those tribute recordings though, they're amazing and also feature Alex on drums. _________________ http://subcide-webzine.blogspot.co.nz/ |

They're already on my ebay watch list . Might check it out on Soulseek first, but I'm into this kind of stuff. Reminds me of Anima Morte & Morte Macabre. _________________ What beats global warming? nuclear winter |

Yeah, I wouldn't consider CMB as a sellout either since they had hinted towards that direction even in some of their earliest songs. Sure, a full blown groove album could've been unexpected at that time, but as others have pointed out, they didn't drop their lyrical themes (and in some cases like Hydrocephalus, they might've gone further than before) and that's a pretty goddamn hard sell. Not counting the banana cover.
However, it's totally understandable why people wouldn't like it. It was my introduction to the band so maybe that makes it easier to get into it for me.
And "Viva La Muerte" is also one of my favorite songs by the band. |
