I'm looking for some cheap little thing that I can do this with. Any recommendations? I got this thing for transferring VHS to DVD Files:

get a decent soundcard then connect your tape deck or walkman to it. _________________ Taphephobia Productions |

If you have your tape deck connected to an amplifier.. just run RCA leads from your amp to your computer and use a Audio recording program. If you just have a plain old tape deck, you can plug it into your computer using the headphone jack port on your tape deck.
If you dont have a decent sound card, then you might need to buy a RCA to headphone jack connection to plug the lead into the sound input on the back of your computer. You can pick one up for a couple of bucks.
You said you wanna do it cheap.. so if you dont already have a sound recording program, here is a link to a free one you can use. Its pretty basic but will do what you want..

Remember to save your files as .Wav files so you dont loose quality. |
